The following link will show you your state’s current and scheduled eligibility for Tier 4 EUC benefits
http://workforcesecurity.doleta.gov/unemploy/claims_arch.asp
Choose “Emergency Unemployment Compensation Trigger Notice”
Click “submit”.
Click on the most recently blue highlighted Sunday shown (January 10th)
You will see your state’s current three-month TUR average (Example, Alabama is 10.7%).
You will see at the bottom of the page that the last month of unemployment figures used (and available) for the states calculations was the November figures. Therefore, the TUR figures that are currently being used are for the months of Sep, Oct and Nov. A state must have a TUR of at least 8.5% to be eligible for Tier 4. The December state unemployment figures are due out on January 22nd. For example, when Tier 3 ends for most Pennsylvanians in mid-February, the December unemployment rate must be no lower than 8.1% for PA to qualify for Tier 4 (based on Oct, Nov and Dec figures). January figures won’t be out until March 10th and your window for qualifying for a new tier ends February 28th under current legislation.
This is the deal my friends.
