Welcome to the new 'free nursing care' forum which replaces the old MSN message board and many thanks to Stephen Johnson who has set this up and also created the new www.continuingcarecampaign.info website. This is not yet complete as I still have to produce a new home page which will provide all the initial advice and information required to set NHS continuing care claimants on the right track! The objective of the campaign is simple: To compel the government to obey the law and provide NHS care 'free at the point of need' in accordance with the 1946 National Health Service Act. Now please use this forum to tell others of the 'endless deliberate delay, prevarication, procrastination and sheer bloody-minded intransigence' which you encounter when dealing with NHS and Social Services staff. Postings must of course be 'on topic', factual and must not enable particular individuals to be identified. Steve (Esquires)

Hi Steve
Thanks again for being involved in everything regarding the setting up of this new board and all your involvement on the old board.
I am sure that I speak for everyone when I say you are wonderful to take so much time in helping us all with our quest for our relatives rights to CC and 'fairplay' from the NHS. Also thanks to Robin and all the other folk too.Sue

Thanks for getting this up and running. May take a while to get used to where to look for things etc but so far so good.
lets hope all of the posters on the last site can find their way to this one and maybe we will be able to help any new viewers who are just finding out about their rights to NHS funded care.
The best news of all would be if this site became redundant....sadly not the case as yet and not looking likely for quite a while.

I would also like to say a big thank you to Steve Squires, Robin Lovelock, and Stephen Johnson for their great efforts and determination in the face of unscrupulous (putting it mildly) behaviour from the largest organisation in the UK. A big thank you also to Pam Coughlan for inspiring us all. Also thank you to everyone who posts on this forum for sharing their own experiences and helping others.
Initial impressions of this host site seem to be more favourable than Multiply
Best of luck and best wishes to everyone
Regards
Margaret

Well done Steve Squires, Stephen Johnson for setting up this dedicated BB for NHS Continuing Healthcare. First impressions are good and it seems faily easy to navigate. Once MSN members find it and others are directed to it, may it continue to be inform and help others in their fight for NHS CHC. In due course I will give an update on my journey so far.(started in 1/1/05).

Many thanks to the Steves and anybody else who has been involved in setting this up, and also to Robin for linking to it from his website (which is how I find you all again, having been somewhat absent from the MSN board of late).

Well done everyone, very glad it's up and running again - I felt quite panicky when I saw the final MSN message! Now trying to work out how to put a picture on my profile without my internet security going nuts about something called 'rundl32'- anyone else had that?
Stephen, your links page is brilliant.

Well, I've found you all again! Got disconnected ages ago from the old MSN site and for some reason it wouldn't let me back on again (maybe cos I'm a winner?). Now that this forum has been set up I'm no longer a 'watcher' so I hope to chip in where I can as I used to. If it hadn't been for this community I wouldn't have known where to start four years ago. Regards to you all.

I could do with some simple advice on how to use this message board. I thought I had the hang of it in the first few minutes, after adding my profile and posting three test messages. But I see those messages never appeared as postings. My profile says 0 postings ( at 10am ish Sunday) but there were three test messages, which I can see if I click on "You have no new messages". It looks as if these ended up being messages that I sent to myself :-) Anyway, it looks as if you can include a URL like www.nhscare.info but not paste material including pictures and links from a web page. But first I need to understand how to make a posting on a new topic. I'm doing this one as a reply to one already there.

Hi Bodecia,
I'm sorry there is no search for the past MSN Board i think you may have misundersood me. However i managed to save all of the MSN Board from 2003 to 2007 and the rest partly saved.
Unfortunatley i can't copy and paste them on to this board for members to share and refer back to but i think Stephen Johnson is looking into this.
The only other way i can think of is sending the files via Email and i would be quite happy to do this if anyones interested but please bear in mind that their are 20 files (MSWord Format) average size between 3 to 6 megs total 94 megabytes.

Thanks Steve (BennyBall) - those help pages will certainly help Stephen Johnson with things like setting up a banner, etc. However, there are lots of things, including in the FAQ, but I did not see the answer to my simple question of how to start a new thread. We've now tried several types of message board hosting, including MSN, Multiply, that set up by MissLawbore - but this one, although apperently simple, is certainly giving me a problem on this basic question. Can someone tell me please ?

Robin,
To start a new thread, I just clicked on new topic
filled in the details then sent!
The help section advises that files cannot be added
one of the reasons is the owners are trying not to clog the
server up, but Mick has managed to upload a pic from photobucket
and I was wondering if there is a similar free site for documents
so that bennyball53 for instance can upload the old message
board postings for reference if anyone requires that info?.

As a newcomer to the site I would like to endorse the thoughts and feelings of all the other brothers and sisters fighting for justice for loved ones, and with the help of ESQUIRES,R.LOVELOCK, PAM COUGHLAN, STEVE JOHNSON combined with the support and help from one another, we WILL WIN!We ENGLISH are normally A placid race of people, but when we get bullied and browbeaten, LOOK OUT!

Mr Squires
Talked to Steve Johnson on Saturday, and he put me fully in the picture. I must admit that is look a lot smarter than the old site - let us all hope it can achieve just as much and more
