it cost 2500 but u have to supply a blower off the ford thunder bird. and you gotta buy a custom headers.

i saw the original thread. this build is a little bit too over the top for a budget minded build but would be nice if it is drivable and reliable.

yea full boost at idle sucks for a front wheel drive. they should build one for the d series and put it on the awd wagon civic now that would be more useable.

except for broken differentials, axleshafts and transmissions because it was only built to handle 100 hp at the crank and approx. 20 hp to each wheel. you'd have to mount the engine in the passenger seat and use the drivetrain from an old pickup truck. Transmission, transfer case driveshafts, big ass solid axles and all

stock honda axle can handle up to 400 hp, theres lots of cars out there running stock axle with that kinda power.

400 hp really???

i know plenty of people who are not even running close to 400hp and they break axles pretty often.

is there a specific axle you are referring to?

soft or damage motor mount can cause your axle to fail quick, i had this problem with my 93 delsol b20 turbo pushing 200+ hp with worn out broken mounts and broke axle all day. i filled them with window weld and remedy the problem till the motor blew. same think with my 00 civic si had a blower on it pushing 250 hp to the wheel didnt break axle but it started click and boots were ripping till i put insert into all mounts to limit engine movement and driven it hard for alittle over a year with the clicking axle with new boot, iam just saying there not bullet prof, excessive engine movement will break axle.

yup you can also break axles when you do a motor swap with wrong mounts and your shit aint streight, then you'll only be able to turn left safely and knock like your transmission is gonna go out when you turn right. * lol * personnel reference.

allot of people underestimate how important the motor mounts are in a car, especially a performance one.
