I started this topic to get a little more info or stories together about this tagging crew. This crew goes way back and i think has affected the scene in LA, not just this crew but alot of crews that where around in LA, i chose this one just as an example.
i think this crew started out in the mid 80s, ive heard it stand for out for action, actually thats all i think i remember hearing it as. what trips me out though is how deep this crew was especially like from 90-95, at different areas of LA county. and now theyre practically gone, at least in LA county, but i know they have had reincarnations in different cities and states as well.
i guess whats interesting about this crew to me is how it started out and ended up getting deep and then eventually contributing to a bunch of barrios in LA and other crews that came off it. i know when i was in junior high in the san fernando valley, back in 92-3, OFA was like the main crew in all the 818, they had practically every school, as far as taggers, and before that i lived in the northeast LA area and they where just as deep down there, i think at that time they where the deepest crew in LA, together with STK, what trips me out is how back then there was less crews but deeper ones, now its hella small crews and like 15 fools claiming 19 different crews, lol.
either way i know alot of fools from OFA either individually joined barrios, or came in as entire kliks of barrios, and alot of times got split up between enemy neighborhoods, which is ironic. in the greater LA area, which back then was all 213, they where forced in to become a klik from 18st, i wanna say it was the tiny jokers klik, either way 18 had so many kliks back then its hard to say, then i know that alot joined es clover and lincoln heights, and even alot joined burlington locos, which i think is what put bls back on the map cuz they had kinda died out there for a while.
i think a few joined avenues too, it was one of those deals where they had some heads living so deep in aves hood and aves was so strong at that time that it was an offer they couldnt refuse to join aves. aside from that i have seen at least two different full on barrios that came off of OFA, i dont know if they get along or are the same thing but i think it stands for different things when they became barrio. i think the one in west LA is called OxFord Avenue, which worked out pretty conveniently for them. then theres a compton varrio OFA that i have no idea what it stands for.
in the 818 them fools where deep. it was one of those deals that most fools at one point or another claimed OFA, and later went on to make different crews or join gangs or both, but if you ask them fools what they where doing when they where 12 or 13 and youll find out they where from ofa, then most fools ended up joining crews wich in the long run hated OFA, i Know alot of those fools from OFA joined all the various pacas, and some san fer, some fools where first OFA, then a crew called NFS which was tied with a gang called creators, which i see now and maybe back then too was in lancaster, either way alot these fools in the 818 somehow ended up in Night Outs, which in the long run ended up joining blythe street, one of NFS main enemies,,lol, yeah seeing those fools claiming blythe is a trip after remembering all the rumbles and fights those fools had,
either way this is just my two cents on OFA, the truth is by the time i started banging they where almost unheard of in the valley, im talking like 94-5, but then they where still known in the 213, towards the late 90s they disapeared too, so i never really met too many fools and kids my age didnt remember anymore but i think theres probably alot to the OFA story, and other crews that where around, alright everyone later

Thats funny thats a name i havent herd in a long time. We used to be real close with OFA back in the mid to late 90's 95-98. My homeboy Alert was from OFA/NFL when we were tagging, and he would come to NFL meetings with a few of his homeboys. But them fools were pretty down. After we went our own way they did the same. I heard they became oxford avenue... But that just what i heard. I started seeing alot of tagging saying " vOFA13" well not a lot but look like a week long tagging binge through out N.H. but havent seen any OFA in a long while. I did how ever run into them out in las vegas. I lived across the street from some white boy from OFA out there. I asked him about the homie Alert and he seemed confused. I told him that how we used to be tight (NFL/OFA) and he tried to say that nobody from oFA was ever from anyother tagging crews... I guess the "las vegas" OFA's dont know the real history of there own crew. I mean OFA out there spread like wild fire to become one of the biggest crews out there, so all the locals claim to be from the same OFA as Los, 90% of them would get lost if you brought them even past state line. But i dont i guess out there they are tag bagging(like Los OFA) which i thought died out in the 90's but i guess you cant blame them cuz las vegas is about 5 years behind cali...

its been hella long since i thought about any of those krews, i dont remember d2d though, j2h i do, yeah ofa was hella deep in the 818 too in the early 90s like 92 93, my cousin was from there but from the ones in nela, he lived right in south atwater, dam it i cant remember what they called my own cousin, oh yeah echo,,lol, i just thought about that for the first time like in 8 years, i should know cuz me and my carnal named him that since he was a kid cuz he would always just repeat whatever my carnal would say, i guess alot of the fools from the nela ofa joined lincoln heights, like in an organized meeting type thing, then alot of them lived deep in avenues back when they where at their deepest so those ofa got forced into avenues basically, where my cousin lived was thee rascals hood but they never got too many ofas in, i dont know any from toonerville either, even though they where deep in glendale, but other crews moved into glendale before crews started joining gangs, my cousin told me ofa was deep in victorville back then, and then in frikin seatle, which i did see once on my own,
i also remember nbt being in the valley was a mostly black gang, nothing but trouble, i triped out how many crews had been hella old though according to fools in them, like mot or macking on tramps i heard they where from the early 80s, mcp was around then disapeared then i think theyre back as a gang now, i think amk became avenue marisol krooks in eastlos or east southcentral, the one i know was hella deep but i never heard much more about was stk or shoot to kill, the way i remember it was that them and ofa where like the same size just the side of la i knew was all ofa, i dont know where stk was at but im guessing they contributed to the scene the same way ofa did,

I found this on the net, I think it's a bootleg recorded at Tokyo 10-5-1988 at the Shibuya Kokaido.
It's definitely a boot!
