I figured that this would be a good place to let people know what the board members are looking for in the stories they read. This way when trying to think of stories to write, we can have a better idea of what will get a reaction from the general populace, and therefore, (hopefully) more feedback. Be as honest as you care to be.
Here are some of mine.
Likes
-Body regression to about five or six years of age, diapered for whatever reason
-mental AR to a point. I prefer it gradually to all at once.
-Sad Endings
-Character development beyond a description of the ch's hair.
-Brotherhood or deep friendship prevailing.
Dislikes
-mental AR not accompanied by physical. The baby in an adult's body is a bit hard for me to picture, and I've got mentally disabled cousins.
-Older kids getting bullied and cowed from a spanking from a parent...if my mom, for whatever reason, forced me into diapers 24/7, and spanked me it I was bad, I'd probably get up, and walk out of the house. Never to return.
-Cliches without phenominal plot twists.
-Plot twists just for the sake of plot twisting.
-A large cast. I prefer the focus to be intimate on one or two 'stars'.
-*sigh* no attention to grammer/spelling at all. If anything, just pick up a book and see how it's structured. You don't have to be an english professor, but at least capitalize the beginnings of sentences and write the correct spelling of the word, not the Instant Messenger version.
-Peeps who read a story, enjoy it, but don't say anything! (Guilty as charged!)
Anyone else?

Wow, is it ever easier to describe what I either dislike or am neutral about. As well as what influences direction from neutral. Having said that:
Dislikes:
-Filler chapters and chapters that seem like they're filler because in the large amount of space they take up, they only resolve or advance a single plot element *cough*Lord of the Rings*cough*. Having said that, I have been guilty of writing filler posts in fanfiction.
-Recurring events in unrelated stories that recur only for the sake of recurring.
-Unrealistic responses to spankings.
Neutral
-Use of spanking. This is neutral because how it is used affects whether I want to read it or not.
I will edit this post more when I'm more awake.

Unless its some kind of erotic, or romance fiction there should be an equal or larger amount of description on other things.
~Lots of talk about "excrement" without the use of euphemisms to make it sound more pleasant, which winds up giving you an awkward sounding, immature feel to it.

(Phew, okay, this contains more words than I actually speak on some days)
What do I look for? I'm kind of picky with stories. Unlike images, which are a single event, stories are a long chain of multiple events, and so making an entire story something I like is phenomanolly difficult compared to an image that I like. In fact my absolute most favorite stories are ones that came SO close but had something SO wrong that with my own editing, turned it into something pleasant.
First of all, the main character(and every one that wears a diaper/pullup/whatever for any duration or has an accident at any time) must be female, that is invariable. Teen and adult characters are preffered, but I guess a preteen or child can be worked, but those stories always seem so concerned with stereotypical modern Earth/school/friends/etc. problems that it's just too... Boring, I guess. Another undesired story element that younger charaters can fall into is the baby department. I'm exclusively "DL", no fur and no baby whatsoever. And tieing into the start of this paragraph and the entire next one, there's only so much children and preteens can be involved in(I use "sex" in this post in an extremely general and stretched way. Events such as seeing someone get dressed, watching them sleep, or tickling them when they have to use the restroom can sort of fall in with it, and those are certainly not bad for children).
But she can't just sit around in some giant diaper castle alone, can she? No of course not! This is where another element comes in-sex. No, not really "SEX" Sex, more like hugs/kisses/petting/making out with clothes on/orgasm at the most. But you see, something I notice a great deal of is when there's a boyfriend/girlfriend involved in a diaper story, it's always either mutual or the wrong gender who's in the diapers. Every single time. I do respect people's ability to choose and to do what pleases them, but frankly it disgusts me. Unfortunately I'm not much for making up stories and characters in a modern Earth setting, when I think of stories I go ahead and do what I can gain the most satisfaction from...
Stories of preexisting fictional settings. Like artwork, the idea of some female character I already like alot in a world I enjoy makes it exceptionally easy to make a story I like. In my signature I lead to a well-lengthed result of the most well-written and paced story I've ever made in a story format. I really like Reina and Krile as characters, so it was very fun to write about FF5. There are some Naruto fiction and I believe a Kingdom Hearts one up on the board as other examples.
Although decent grammer is very helpful, it actually isn't much of a necessity. The events said grammer, bad or not, depict is my focus. And the only spanking should be clothed spanking that's so soft and pleasant that it isn't actually spanking. And public settings are nice-I especially favor the mall, easily overused I know but it's one of my favorite places even without anything diaper-related. A dance is also very potent.
Another point is how the character starts. Does she already wear diapers when the story begins? I'm not at all opposed to it, but I feel it constricts a story's potential. If she's been wearing them, they can't be as embarrassing as if she was put into them within the story's time frame, and the prospect of starting to wear them is easy to tie into someone else(Hopefully a boy >.>) being in a "dominant" position.(For instance, she lost a bet, blackmail, to make up for something, out-of-the-blue enforcement...)
Words I do not favor. In fact, that make me cringe or feel uncomfortable. Especially since if most of these words are used once in a story, they always end up repeated frequently:
(... Is there some way to cover this better? Like you have to highlight it to see it or something?)
Nappy
Loo(used in all non-diaper pee stories)
Knickers(Same)
Dick
Cunt
Pussy
Cock
Tit
Piss
Shit
Fuck
Okay, and for a list-style summary...
Yes:
Girls
Romance/Sex(Male in dominant/non embarrased position)
Fan fiction is great
No:
Babies
Furry
Nursery settings
Foul language
Punishment
Oh, and one thing I didn't clearly address: realism. Suddenly waking up in a giant pink nursery in space where robots and machines give you enemas is no good.

Im sure some of these need expanding a little, and I'll probably add more as time goes on, but this is a rough idea of how a perfect story for me would go

Since this thread is about what you do or don't like in a story, I don't think the apology is needed if readers remember the context. Thanks though.

Sex is ok... I prefer M/M ...butI can tolerate whatever....so long as it's well written

Romance
Spanking (depends on the usage)
Risque Situations
Mental Stability (I, persoanally, would hate losing what brain power I have..so no mental regression from me... I'm not a fan of it)
Interesting Characters
Dislikes:
Incoherence of story/plot
Extensive Cliche usage
Plot issues
Stories that extensively enulate Real life (which is why I w rite furry stories)
Mental Regression
Physical regression (Im not a little cub..and I don't want to be little...it isn;t my style)
little or no attention to Detail
People who make stories Based on Songs but have the story shorter than the lyrics....

People will still write stories that don't appeal to everyone, and I feel this list gives us a good idea of how who will react to what. Or for that matter, if they'll even read it in the first place.

zhaleskra is right. this thread might put people off from posting if they think that the story doesnt meet the specifications that people have posted. it better to just read a story and if you dont like it say so.
at least then you can say what you dont like in it and how they can make the story better

I worried about this, but if you look at the answers recieved, you can tell that there is really no general consensus on what constitutes a perfect story. Therefore, it's almost impossible to do a story that appeases everyone. That said, as a writer, I feel like I can garner some info from this (Gin likes plot twists!) and put it into my work.

Female characters in diapers, or effeminate male characters. Either of the two work fine.
Humor. A good sense of brevity is absolutely essential for stories like this.
A plot. It doesn't have to be overly elaborate, so long as it's entertaining.
Babying, but not to the point where it becomes unrealistic.
Embarassment, particularly when applied to a bratty character. Again, only in an amount that the story's given circumstances can accomadate.
Good writing. Even if you're idea is phenomenal, if it's poorly written, no one will enjoy it.
Romance. What can I say, I'm a sucker for romantic chemistry. If said romantic chemistry proresses to a sexual relationship, I don't particularly mind either.
Sex is fine, so long as it progresses to plot to some degree or seems like a logical move the characters would make.
Anthropomorphic characters. Nothing wrong with human characters, I just find furries more exotic and interesting. There's so much more you can DO with them.
Spanking. *shrug*
Dislikes
One character asserting superiority over another on the basis of gender. This means femdom as well as a man dominating a woman. The entire thought of a "sexual superiority" irks me, and I tend to dislike its apearance in stories.
Needlessly graphic descriptions of diaper-messing, and diaper changing. After the third plodding description of the character crapping themselves, it gets boring.
Stories that are so finely centered on reality that they're boring. "Realistic" stories are fine if the characters are interesting, but if you're writing about a random somebody who discovers a fancy for diapers, I don't really see what reason there is to read it.
Inversely, stories that are so unrealistic they're ridiculous. Even if you're writing a fantasy/sci-fi story, there should be some structure of believability surrounding it, a set of "rules" if you will. If the entire world is just one big plot device to get one of the characters in diapers, your story is destined for failure. Consistent structure and obstacles are imperative to a fantasy story's success.
CLICHES. If I wanted to read another variation of "My new life in diapers where suddenly OH SHIT I WOKE UP AS A FOX/RABBIT/CAT/PROBOSCUS MONKEY/CHLOROPLAST!!!!1" I'd reread the first one.
Absurdly unrealistic reactions from a third party.
"Hi, Mark, I've decided to start wearing diapers."
"Cool, Christine. I guess that means I get to baby you."
"It sure goes! And after that, we can go up to my bedroom for some deep dickin' and SPANKINGS!"
"Sweet."
Most fan fiction.
I'll probably add more later.

Hmm, aside from the usual "good writing = good, bad writing = bad", let's see...
I prefer stories with girls, but a well-writted boy story is a lot better than an unreadable girl one.
I can't stand excessive cruelty or humiliation, unless the person doing it recieves appropriate come-uppance.
Over the top diaper content can be annoying, but so is a non-diaper story with a couple references randomly inserted to make it qualify.
Needlessly detailed descriptions of naughty bits, including most sex scenes, generally strike me as gratuitous.
Excuse me, I'm off to write my chloroplast story.

Compasion- I'm a nice guy and like nice people in a story
Things I'm In a Grey Area With
Guys- Only like guys if they're cubs or effeminate cubs and there has to be girls in the story with the guys.
Sex- As long its not M/M (I'm straight)
Bondage- As long as its kept very, very light
Dislikes
Cliches- Everyone hates cliches
A sad ending- I like happy endings
Violence- Not good material for an AB/DL story in my opnion
Fanfics- I like keeping it original
Too much profanity- In real life a cuss like hell, but I hate cussing in a AB/DL fic

I wrote a lengthy post to this thread, but guess what? It got deleted! I had used such a long time writing it that I had apparently logged out, then when I entered my username and password, my entire message was no more. That's a big Argh!.
But, I agree with many dislikes/likes made by Remmy (as well others).
Except for one slight thing, namely the diaper messing part. Though lengthy descriptions can get tedious, I think the first time this happens to a character warrants a few lines of description. I often get annoyed if, in a story, this aspect is dealt with too swiftly and indirectly, and thus unrealistically - just imagine how anyone would react in such a situation, and how others would react about it. But after the "initial soiling", there may be no need to offer equally long descriptions on later such events.
And while on the subject, I agree with an earlier poster; I usually prefer the more "harmless" and less "vulgar" terms like messing, soiling and pooping being used, rather than shitting, crapping, taking a dump, etc.
Oh, and I generally like niceness. No spankings or disciplining, no genuinely unruly and bratty children, no genuinely strict caretakers, etc.
